Love in Lockdown 53 x 63cm

Despite the constraints of a life threatening pandemic, like flowers growing through cracks in a pavement, love is finding a way to exist and thrive in the worst of times. By painting a cover of a magazine I am highlighting the juxtaposition between the constraints of Covid-19 and the optimism / care-free notion of romance.

Being in the form of a 'magazine cover' adds an element of glamour and excitement following this unusual chapter of Covid-19.
